Landlord Gas Contractor Safety Audit Inspections

On-site Audit

During this stage our inspection team will be on-site and based in the organisations offices. We will require the inspected organisation to identify someone to act as its co-ordinating officer and key contact person for the inspection team.

The team will apply techniques that will help it get to the heart of what each organisation is doing.

The technique used will be appropriate to the individual organisation and will be based upon the standard CORGI audit criteria and will encompass a range of 8 main areas of analysis.

Health & Safety Duties.

  • Managing Recruitment & Selection.
  • Managing Gas Operatives Competence & Training.
  • Supervisory Management.
  • Quality Systems Management.
  • Managing Customer Complaints.
  • Procedures & Documentation.
  • Emergency Procedures.
  • Interim Reporting

Interim report forwarded to client within 7 working days of on-site visit.

We have developed a report structure to ensure consistency in reporting our findings.
The report will be written in plain English and will present findings in a balanced and objective way. All statements in the report will be supportable by evidence gathered during the inspection.

We will report on where performance is considered good and where improvements are required. The report will acknowledge areas of good practice. We will make clear the relative importance of any recommendations to help the inspected organisation to prioritise the actions in its improvement plan which we expect the organisation to produce after the inspection.

Grading Performance

The team will focus on the 3 key questions they seek to answer through inspection to assess all the information gathered and to determine grades:

How good are the services we have inspected?
How well are the organisation and services being managed?
Are the services and the organisation likely to improve?

Grades will summarise performance in the following ways:

Grade A - Excellent - Major strengths

Grade B - Good - Many strengths and some areas where improvement is needed

Grade C - Fair - Some Strengths, but with significant areas where improvement is required

Grade D - Poor - Major area where improvement is needed
